so my books finally came in the mail on saturday. I WAS excited, i was thinking like players skills and options for ad&d. all in all, i don't like the healing surges. I understand paladins not being great healers, but they say warlords are supposed to be acceptable subs and i don't see where they can heal at all till like lvl 8. Clerics, should have unlimited healing but cure light wounds is 1/day. I don't think they spent enough time writing the books. if someone never played a pencil/paper rpg i don't think they could learn from the players handbook. character creation is harder, but thats the price you pay for "freedom". oh wait there seems to be less good options than in 3.5. looks like supplements will be necessary, like complete adventurer ect. new "paragon paths" (the replacement for presitge classes).
warlocks look awesome. i am happy with warriors, warlocks, mages and rogues. warlords look like crap to me, but i could be missing something.
so whats your opinion? i'll put up a poll ~bagel/jay

I actually thing warlords could easily be over powered. On the same note, I don't think I'd like to play them.... they can shift around the entire battlefield which is really powerful especially with how some things look like they're going to work in 4.0, but it just doesn't sound too fun. Not to mention the ability that makes me think they're good is the one that makes someone else attack, and that just seems less satisfying
