Because I feel like procrastinating, I pose to you the following question:
What is your favorite game that you felt was seriously underappreciated by the populace at large? Something that may not have been a big commercial success; one of those obscure or niche games that you loved but few others have ever played or even heard of. Everybody's got one, so what's yours?

Mine is Kirby's Pinball Land for Gameboy. I haven't even met someone who has heard of it but it's lots a fun and a good way to kill time.

Mine would be a computer (of course) RPG called Arcanum, made by the now-defunct Troika. Out of all the computer RPGs I've played, it's probably the most open-ended and intricate, and, sadly, I never finished it because something happened that tore me away from the game for a month or so, and then I completely lost all motivation to complete the game when I came back to it. One of these days, when there's a slump in new releases, I want to go back to it, start at the beginning, and actually finish it; I have fond memories of when I was actually into the storyline of the game and I regret having not seen it through to the end.
Edit - I just noticed this is under the Console Games topic. Oh well, too bad, I'm infecting this area with the taint of computer games. Nyah nyah!

I didn't mean for this thread to be console-game specific. There's just no section for all types of video games so I posted it in here.
Incidentally, I've played Arcanum. Although I didn't get very far, it was definitely an enjoyable game. It was also the source for the name of the most infamous NPC in my D&D campaign a few years back ;D

I was a huge fan of the game P.O.W. in the Arcade. They had it at this place I went to summer camp at when I was 8 to 10 years old and I played it every day waiting to get picked up. It was kind of a mix between Contra and Vigilante (another Arcade game you may not have heard of).
