Points: 2000
ok so i just put a Necron Lord with a Lighting field and the Resurrection orb.
and the rest of the points I have all in Necron Warriors.
If they want to have a bigger game with more points you just field more Necron Warriors and/or a war skythe. Never Loses. Yup.

Necrons don't have too much going for them anymore. God help you if you get assaulted by something hard, the lightning field isnt going to save you from everything.
And while people may have a hard time shooting this list to death, you dont have much to shoot back at them. So while it would probably be a minimal casualty game, I think the other player will still end up killing more.

Taylor, if you ever play the game again, I refuse to believe that you wouldn't use your Monolith. Aside from its destructive power, the sheer visual offensiveness of the paint job you did to that thing would blind any opposing army and make them flee in terror, thereby allowing you to walk all over them.

Well Adam's opinions no longer count seeing how he has abandoned the Black Templars and is completely pussy-whipped by his girlfriend.
And even if his opinion doesn't count he's still wrong. The strategy you described is horrible. It isn't even a strategy. It's like a two-year-old made it up.

I never said best list, I said awesome list.
Look at it this way, a necron warrior is the only basic trooper in the game capable of destroying anything (Monolith, Land Raider, Wraithlord, etc.) Now field 85 of them, and suddenly the paltry 17% chance of causing damage to a tough unit increases dramatically. I would only even fathom using this list with Necrons, since they are tough to put down in the first place, and will stand up a significant percentage of the time once they are knocked down.
Now, is this the perfect list? no, of course not. I liken it to the all Carnifex Tyranid list - it has definite destructive capabilites but also lends itself to only one or two actual strategies. (FYI Rich, a strategy is an overarching plan on how you use your units once on the table; this is an example of an army list, not strategy).
When it comes down to it, I have actually no idea if this would be successful or not; I like to think it would be, but who knows. At the very least it has strong potential; there are no juicy targets to focus on, like plasmamike says (I'm sorry, I have no idea who you are) casualties will be light, and once you get close, nutss gonna start to die (esp. due to the new rapid fire rules).
Though I would even put two lords in (if that's legal, I'm not sure if a necron lord is 0-1) both with lightning field and res. orb (again, I'm not sure on the restrictions on these items)
Anyway, let's try more constructive criticism in the future, instead of flaming other people to death. -Adam
ps - as far as abandoning the Black Templars, that's still in question. Right now I'm using the traits thing from the Space Marine codex, and once the BT codex comes out in 6 weeks or so, I'm gonna buy it and then make the difficult decision of whether to switch back or not. BAsed on the pictures of the Sword Brethren I saw in WD 309, it looks like its gonna eb a tough choice

I can't read that list too well, the format is too weird. Save your Army Builder list as an html, and then post that, MMMAAADDD easier to read.

Hmmm... 120 Necron Warriors is the most you can field right? Why can't I field more than 72 Fire Warriors. Booooo!

eh, probably cause all the rest of the fire warriors are "busy" back in the barracks, if you get my drift. I mean, they put those ass flaps on fire warrior armor for a reason, you know. They're earning their bonding knives *wink wink nudge nudge* ;D
