Experience Needed: While the Shadowlight core setting guide is being released without a system attached to it, we've created an original system for which a companion book will be released. Some previous EPiC attendees have played it, as have some who've played our games at Ubercon, but there's plenty of room for all levels of experience. Experience with RPGs in general is preferred, but not required.
RUNNING TIME: Approximately 3-4 HOURS, so Friday night would be from *** 6:00 PM - 9 or 10:00 PM ***.
Scenarios: Depending on who plays, I have a variety of scenarios available. I'll figure out which one(s) I'll run once I know who all will be playing.
In the year 643 of the Tibori Calendar (643 TCY), the Dayrin Seer summoned ambassadors from every nation in the East to create a new era of peace. Every nation in the East, save the Kynar kingdom of Frostmark, signed the Treaty of Vathker, and built embassies in the newly established Conversance District in the Dayrin capital city of Vathker. The Dayrini were accorded neutral status, and became arbiters in most major disputes under the treaty.
Fifteen years later (658 TCY), in response to incidents taking place throughout the East as well as the news brought back from the West by Brego Scarengi, the Seer of Vathker asked the President of the Dayrin Assembly, Vindi Tain, to draft a resolution that would attach a corollary to the Treaty of Vathker. Once ratified by the Treaty's signatory nations, the Seer and/or any of his appendages would have the power to call upon and deputize representatives of the nations in times of crisis to aid the League, and/or any of the nations themselves, as special agents. While met with grudging acceptance from the Tyrennhian Imperium and the Poliman Sultanate, the corollary was adopted by the majority of the eastern nations.
